It is very easy to get a loan from HSBC but they will screw you over every way they can. My husband got a loan from them in 02 and after the interest and all a 14,000 truck cost 30! It was outrageous Anyways if you end up getting a loan watch them! They said our cashiers check from the bank bounced! that cant happen, come to realize that they didnt apply it but cashed it! Be careful!!

You can originate a payment from your own checking account via the automated clearing house (ACH), from the online capability of presumably your checking account. But it will probably reject and they will not be able to post it anywhere (been there done that!!!).
Best bet - contact a local branch directly and force them (yes force will be necessary) to explain the preferred method.
